An enthusiastic, “FANTASTIC!” is what you hear when you walk into Chef Sedrick Crawley’s Rockville, Maryland kitchen and ask, how it’s going, Chef?  His boisterous voice and wide smile are as welcoming and commanding as his presence in the kitchen. Always, sharply dressed in crisp, chef whites and carrying a handy black notepad (full of recipes, we think), Chef Sed is a masterful culinary expert- pairing comfort food with finesse and flavor to create dishes that are made to savor.

His career path is simple to define -fast food to fine dining.  His first job was in the kitchen of a popular fast food chain, flipping burgers and dropping fries; but even then, more than 20 years ago, Chef Sed did not conform.  The “special sauce” always had to have his extra flavor and he’s never served anything- not even a simple burger- that he wasn’t proud of.

Today, Chef Sedrick Crawley is now a renowned culinary coach, chef, and mentor with decades of management experience. By combining his passion for success in culinary education, marketing savvy, and interpersonal skills, he has guided many culinary professionals, restaurants, and businesses into the future. Through developing new and innovative culinary solutions and clarification for new businesses, Chef Sed, as he is known, is on the leading edge of culinary landscape. In addition to running his own business, his passion is empowering a new generation of aspiring cooks by creating classes, events, seminars, and literature that enables each individual to embrace what makes them unique in food.  Inspiring others to follow their culinary calling and achieve true success in their professional career is his greatest passion. In addition to managing events in DC, Maryland and Virginia he also professionally mentors chefs and celebrities.
