Erin Como
Erin Como is an anchor and reporter with Fox 5 News in Washington, DC. She joined the station in August of 2015, and immediately made her mark on the Nation’s Capital.
Erin is one of the city’s go-to tastemakers on the local food and dining scene – working with local chefs, restaurateurs, and mixologists through her series “Cooking With Como.” Erin’s contributions to her home have earned her a spot on Washington Life magazine’s “Young & The Guest List” for the past 4 years.
Through her role at Fox 5, she has made lasting ties in the DMV community. She is a proud supporter of area Police, Fire and EMT officials, and helps honor them through her work with Fox 5’s First Responder Fridays. She has also served as emcee for multiple local police and fire events.
Erin has also had a chance to interview some of the biggest names in news, politics, sports, food, and entertainment – including Martha Stewart, Wolfgang Puck, Sean Spicer, Mayor Muriel Bowser, Bradley Cooper, Ricky Martin, Tina Fey, and Misty Copeland. One of the highlights of her time at Fox 5 was when she had the chance to ride along with the Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals in their first ever Stanley Cup parade. She also loved covering The Nationals’ World Series win!
Erin is also passionate about several causes and volunteer work. She has volunteered for Autism Speaks, the St. Jude Foundation, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, serving as a special contributor to the annual Leukemia Ball, and helping raise money through charity bartending events, races, and most recently the DC Dancing Stars Gala.
Before moving to Washington, Erin called Nashville home, but she was born and raised in Philadelphia. She studied Broadcast Journalism at Temple University, and worked multiple behind-the-scenes jobs at a local affiliate before making the switch to on-air work.
