Sous-vide: Cooking Beyond the Oven & Stove

This class will demonstrate the proper way to cook meat and make sauces using the popular technique of Sous-vide cooking. Sous-vide, which means “under vacuum” in French, refers to the process of vacuum-sealing food in a bag, and then cooking it to a very precise temperature in a water bath. Guests will learn that this slow cooking water bath technique yields pro-level, consistent, restaurant quality results. Included in this class: Turkey Leg with Gravy and Cranberry Glaze with Whipped Potatoes. All food will be prepared using the sous-vide technique and attendees will have tasting portions to measure results

Ticket Details

Each 90 minute session consists of an in-depth cooking class, taught by professional L’Academie de Cuisine instructors. As well, patrons will receive an exclusive MetroCooking DC apron. General Admission is included in each ticket.
