In 2002 native New Yorker, Vincent Tropepe graduated from the Art Institute of New York City. The very next day Chef Tropepe would start his very first line cook position in one of the most desired posts in all of New York City – Alaine at the Essex House under Chef Alaine Duccaise.
Since Alaine at the Essex House he has also worked in The Lennox Room, Gramercy 24, The 21 Club, and One If By Land Two If By Sea to name a few. Chef Tropepe in 2008 was inducted into the Les Amis D’Escoffier Culinary Society one of the most premier fraternities for Chefs. In 2014 he was inducted as the youngest inductee ever into the National Culinary Hall of Fame.
Tropepe has developed a long list of celebrity clients which he has cooked for over the years, including the Clintons, Rudy Giuliani, P.Diddy, Yankee favorites Yogi Berra, Joe Torres, Phil Rizzutto, Queen Latifah, Robin Williams, Michael Bolton, Joan Rivers, Regis Philbin, Luciano Pavarotti and Tony Danza to name a few.
Chef Tropepe's culinary memoir and cookbook titled In My Whites will be released this September and he will be on a 17 week book tour with one of his stops at MetroCooking DC!
